Moors 3 Dover 2

Great performance today totally deserved win against some dirty tatics.Their Keeper made some great saves.Osborne just oozes class and gets my man of the match but the whole team played well and some leaders are starting to appear.Really enjoyed the afternoon.

A really important and hard-fought win for Moors today particularly in the context of results today going for teams around us. I thought Thomas in particular was a handful for Dover all game and Osborne showed his usual class all over the pitch. Tuesday versus Wrexham is going to be a seriously tough proposition but the momentum is there... COYM!

Agreed, although I didn't think Dover were particularly dirty. I thought they would prove a stiff challenge, however Moors were the best team throughout. Indeed, I can only recall the visitors having three shots on goal - one being the penalty - yet still scored twice. Ironically I thought the one which actually seemed to be a fairly comfortable save from the keeper looked their best chance to me!

Re: Moors 3 Dover 2

That was never a "3-2" performance, it was at the very least a "3-0" performance. Dover looked very poor, relying on physical force over footballing technique. It's testament to the improvement at Moors, that we're making higher-placed teams look inferior.

Disappointing to see a couple of goals conceded from silly defensive lapses, it greatly flattered the score line for Dover. However, it's encouraging to see that the players' heads didn't go down - a marked difference from earlier in the season.

Agree with the comment about the emergence of leaders throughout the team. Kelleher was barking out instructions from the back and looks a completely transformed player since Yates arrived. Both centre-halves were immense today and dealt with practically everything thrown at them.

It also looks like we won't miss Dapo as much as I'd feared. Hylton, Thomas, Yussuf and Reid are a handful and there's a legitimate goal threat from midfield with Ozzie, Carter and Storer.

I heard someone say if we'd had this team at the start of the season, we'd be pushing for the playoffs!

Definitely a much needed and deserved win, especially given the other results around us. We must have had about 15 corners and looked the far better side but looked like we going to be another one of those days when they nicked the second. Forward 3 all looked decent and midfield is so much stronger than at the start of the season - I had forgotten what a fantastic footballer Jamey Osborne was, they way he effortlessly goes past players is a joy to watch and makes you think how lucky we are to have him back!

Can't agree with Martyr re Dover's not being dirty, their 25, Jeffrey, having already been booked was let off after slicing Reckord down and their 6, Essam, was holding Hylton at every opportunity. Poor officials almost ruined the game, especially the lino with the yellow flag...... However the lads rose to the occasion and a 3-2 victory flattered Dover who were lucky to get a slight defeat - two shots on target got their two goals and both were the result of poor play by Moors. The character shown by Moors bodes well for the upcoming games, and if we continue to play with the same commitment and valour it will see us rise to safety.

I did say not particularly dirty. And the fact you disagree would generally support my unbiased view! Thought the officials were OK tbh. Believe me, seen far, far worse.

3-2 really flattered Dover but teams who have had just 3 shots on target compared to our about 10 and a couple of corners to our 15 do win matches so thank goodness we managed to score 3.

On the Dover forum, there are comments about us being the friendliest ground their fans visit and the best burgers in the league. Despite the result they had a great day out and do not want us to be relegated.

Jamey is absolutely class, Kwarme was terrific and Alex Reid took his goal chance very calmly.

A great afternoon for Moors fans!

A great day our, everyone in high spirits. A team with belief that worked for each other from the first minute. Dover were physical, but not dirty and, if anything, the ref gave us the run of the green. That was largely due to our positive play and a spirit which gives me a lot of belief in our next 12 games! Come on you MOORS!
