Re: England Vs Evesham?
I'm not feeling much like watching either, but as much of a poor consolation the so called 'bronze medal' is, it certainly would mean more than Solihull winning a pride of Worcestershire trophy, especially given the town is in the West Midlands and historically in Warwickshire as represented on the club badge lifted from the Moor Green.

Re: England Vs Evesham?
MG always used to play in the Worcestershire Senior Cup, indeed we won it playing Evesham at their old ground in 2001 and again in 2006.

Re: England Vs Evesham?
Hall Green was historically part of Worcestershire that’s why. Solihull has always been in Warwickshire or the West Midlands.
Some parts of Shirley around Dickens Heath are in Worcestershire though.

Re: England Vs Evesham?
Hall Green may have been in Worcestershire but Moor Green was too, an area within Stirchley bordering Stirchley and Highbury park, Dogpool Lane way, just down from Moor Green Lane.

Re: England Vs Evesham?
Always been interested in where the actual border was. I thought Hall Green and Moseley were Warks, and Yardley Wood and western outskirts of Shirley Worcs.
As for Stirchley I thought that Kings Norton was Worcs, and Cotteridge Stirchley Bourneville were Warks.
Be interested to see a definitive map, but otherwise why would Moor Green have the Warks Bear on its logo.

Re: England Vs Evesham?
The vote from the Hall Green residents to become part of Birmingham moved the border from the River Cole to what was to become the border at the site of the Tesco store, just up from Robin Hood Lane. In return the elegantly new bridge over the Cole was built to carry the Stratford Road. This happened about 100-110 years ago. Prior to that Hall Green was in Worcestershire and so too was the area called Moor Green that Ojive mentioned earlier. Here the border from Birmingham to (Warwickshire)was the River Rea that separated it from Worcs. Edgbaston Cricket Ground only just made it into Warwickshire, so just think how awful it would have been for us all to have had to support Pears not Bears!

I love a good map.
You might be interested in this.
Yellow is Worcestershire and blue is Warwickshire, they are the historic county borders before the West Midlands existed.
Interestingly. There was an exclave of Shropshire around the Bearwood area for some reason.
Also Edgbaston cricket ground was right on the worcs border, where the batting nets are now was in Worcestershire.
