Re: England Vs Evesham?
Thanks Dickie. Cheered me up slightly. Those who made the trip to Evesham made the correct choice.

The vote from the Hall Green residents to become part of Birmingham moved the border from the River Cole to what was to become the border at the site of the Tesco store, just up from Robin Hood Lane. In return the elegantly new bridge over the Cole was built to carry the Stratford Road. . Prior to that Hall Green was in Worcestershire and so too was the area called Moor Green that Ojive mentioned earlier. Here the border from Birmingham to (Warwickshire)was the River Rea that separated it from Worcs. Edgbaston Cricket Ground only just made it into Warwickshire, so just think how awful it would have been for us all to have had to support Pears not Bears!
How did you vote?!
BTW, when I lived in Sandy Hill Road, the brook at the back of my garden was the Birmingham/Solihull boundary!

Re: England Vs Evesham?
I thought Evesham were better organized than Tamworth and certainly caused us more problems in midfield and at the back.
Hylton was my man of the Match just shading Storer

Re: England Vs Evesham?
Lovely goals from Osborne and Coyle. Maxwell looks like a useful addition in the middle - big fella, adds to the aerial threat at set pieces. Gudger looks composed at the back. Yussuf looked well off the pace today - maybe still recovering from injury but will need to raise his game when the proper football starts.

Re: England Vs Evesham?
Thanks Dickiesmint for keeping everyone informed. My personal opinion is that we need more game time together. Sometimes passes into areas weren't read by the intended recipient and at other times we gave Evesham far too much room which, if it happens in our league, will be punished. I'd rather have a crap pre-season, which gives everyone something to fight for and prove, rather than ostensibly glide through a five nil against lesser opposition. I'm not demeaning Evesham but I didn't see the one touch cutting football our players are capable of. Hopefully we will rise to the occasion when confronted by fitter, better organised and more incisive opposition. Saying that, Jamie's goal was a cracker.

Re: England Vs Evesham?
Clive i agree i would rather have a crap pre season.a bad pre season leads to a good season. A good pre season leads to a bad season. I remember bcfc a few years ago under clark had a very very very good pre season. And just about survived relegation. Atm bcfc are having a !@#$ of a pre season. Sorry for bringing them into it. But its just an example

Re: England Vs Evesham?
So far so good then?
I have a lot of faith in the core of the squad we still have from the back end of last season. We could do with some more numbers. How is Boot looking?
We got a huge boost from two very good loan keepers in Baxter and OLeary so that will be key for me.
Some quality loan signings could be the difference this coming season. What are other Moors fans thoughts?
