Probably not announced officially by the Moors as it’s behind closed doors.
Whilst some of Stoke's games at Clayton Wood say behind closed doors, others, including our game do not! Some clarity would be appreciated and whilst on the issue of "clarity" I wonder why the club website lists the next game at the Autotech as being on the 7th of August against Maidenhead. Surely the friendlies should be flagged up on the home page, too.

On Stoke City's article above it says behind closed doors, but I do agree more clarity needed all round, as it would've been good for Solihull Moors to announce the game, as while fans can't attend, a lot would want to still keep up with the game.

What do you mean wake up? Games that are behind closed doors aren’t always advertised as people will probably try and turn up to a game that they cannot. And the fact that it’s behind closed doors is because some people from either club might not want other clubs finding out that they have played another game for fitness or find out the result, or like last night where blues said they couldn’t accommodate fans either way. There’s a whole host of reasons why it may not have been advertised.

In regards to the Blues match that took place yesterday, this was rearranged as a “behind closed doors” friendly that we did publish and made it clear that supporters were unable to attend. It was only 24 hours before the game did we receive confirmation that we were able to provide live updates from the game.
The Stoke game has always been a “behind closed doors” friendly which unfortunately was then advertised by Stoke. Clearly, there are reasons why we wouldn’t publicly advertise this sort of game as it was made very clear only club officials can attend. Again, we have only received confirmation today that we are able to provide live match updates which will be on our offficial Twitter and Instagram account.

I totally understand that, my comment is not aimed as a slight at you guys at all, it was more from the point of view of Stoke City having announced on their media channels a couple of weeks ago and their mention of it being unclear, in that they have said in one article behind closed doors, whereas on the fixture list there is no mention of it being behind closed doors, even though other fixtures have that mention.
I totally get if the club can't or don't want to announce with it being such a fixture, but the clarity aspect is more just to confirm and clarify the type of fixture it is, given that it has already been announced by Stoke and they've not been totally clear with it.
In terms of me saying 'a lot would still want to keep up with the game', I'm not necessarily saying live coverage, as I understand with the type of game it is that might not have been possible, but given Stoke will likely publish the result, I figured they'd be not much harm in just doing that either.

Not always. You only know of the ones that have been announced.
For example, just with Solihull Moors, I am aware of friendlies behind closed doors where we have played teams such as Coventry City, Mansfield Town, Kidderminster Harriers, Redditch United and Nuneaton Borough. I am sure there have been others, but these are just ones that I am aware of.
This is not a new thing that we have done as this has been going since at least 2008 (that is when we played Coventry City).
Don't get me wrong, I would rather we did not play behind closed doors, but it was an invite we received from Stoke City so we accepted it.
