Moors1 Aldershot Town 0
Once again Moors fans had to go through a slightly anxious last few minutes but we thoroughly deserved the third win of the season. An all round good performance by the whole team
It took 16 games last season to get to 8 points, now we have 9 after 3. Heady days up the league table for such a small club!
Great to see Danny Wright get his first league goal for the Moors after so nearly scoring in the first 2 games.

Re: Moors1 Aldershot Town 0
A really good all round solid team performance and although the last few minutes were a bit squeaky bumish, the maturity with which the lads managed the final section of the game was impressive, smart and intelligent. A thoroughly well deserved victory and a joy to watch. Onwards and upwards.

The video :-

Nicely worked goal, and good play-on from the ref after a Moors player was brought down, with the assistant in the background frantically waving his flag.

Re: Moors1 Aldershot Town 0
A determined performance from the team. Carter was clearly not in his comfort zone at left back but did a job. Thought the new players looked decent too.
My only criticism is that we didn’t retain the ball very well last 15 when we had our backs against the wall. On another day we may get punished for that.

Re: Moors1 Aldershot Town 0
Did well. Largely kept Aldershot quiet in the second half, though probably should have given away a penalty. Created a fair bit but fluffed almost all of our best chances.
Decent day at the office without being spectacular.

It was Wright who was fouled in the build-up, then went on to score. The defender who fouled him backed off after the foul which gave Wright the opportunity to shoot unchallenged - play to the whistle son!
Decent performance overall but need to put these home games to bed with a second goal, given the amount of dominance we've had in the opening 2 home games. Sweeney squandered a good chance late on, trying to do everything himself rather than square it... but at least he's creating opportunities.

Re: Moors1 Aldershot Town 0
Great result for the Moors. A few little concerns though. Firstly, Carts at left back shows how thin the squad is. The first 20 minutes he was a fish out of water but credit to him, he got to grips with the position(and the Aldershot player he hauled to the ground in the box!)
Secondly, the last 15 minutes was, at times, like the Alamo against a very mediocre side. Better quality shots from The errrm...Shots may have seen a different result.
And finally - and most worrying of all from my point of view - who kept shooting the Aldershot number 15? A Moors fan running amok with a snipers rifle is a most concerning development.

Don't worry, AD, he's been training with Tom Daly.
