First game of the season I've been able to attend... and no Toilet Gang due to segregation!

What a fantastic and well deserved result but I do not recall such a farcical and inept referring performance. The degree of inconsistency, frequent poor positioning and crowd/player influence ensured bizarre decisions throughout the 103 minutes of play. Tis no wonder they do not earn respect making their job considerably tougher than it needs to be.

At half time we were commenting on the ref having a good game but, oh my, who put hallucinogens in his half time tea? His second half performance was bizarre in the extreme and led to us thinking never mind a game of two halves, this was a referee of two halves.

In the end a swell deserved result and a powerhouse performance, to boot. I wouldn't say Wrexham were overly physical, dirty yes, but that was only to be expected from a pretty average team that I don't think had a shot on target until well into the second half. A fabulous goal from Alex Gudger, following up after great Daly cross field header from a free kick, proved the undoing of the Welshies. Long may Fortress Moors prevail.

Attendance: 2,412 (1,501 away)

Brilliant to see Moors bouncing back so well against the league leaders, particularly after slipping to a defeat on Saturday. As with everyone else in the ground, I have to ask where on earth the 8 minutes of added time at the end came from?? Perhaps the ref was feeling dazed and confused after tripping over his own shoelaces?!

In a cagey game the hosts ran-out victors against the current league leaders (albeit 5 games in!). Whilst defences were on top for both sides, it was still an entertaining and absorbing game, despite the lack of clear-cut chances. Solihull more than held their own against what I thought was a disappointing Wrexham side, who despite the poor display will no doubt be at least playoff contenders at the end of the season.

In a game that always looked like bing won by a solo strike, the Moors ran out worthy victors with a strike when on-top around the 84th minute mark. Really hard to be more precise, as the second-half kicked-off a little late and, as mentioned earlier, an amazing 8 minutes injury time was added - Lord only knows why!

Great to see a massive turn-out by fans of the away club, who had 2 1/2 of the sides of the ground.

Whilst I thought Wrexham were big and physical, personally I didn't see them as overly-so, nor particularly dirty. And whilst I'd agree the ref was overly finicky, as Moor5 pointed out at the game, he was at least consistent to both sides.

I wasnt at the game this afternoon but regarding 8 minute stoppage time. Was their an injury no 1 can remember if not maybe the 8 minutes was an accumulation of time wasting. Or maybe the referee was a wrexham supporter that just wanted them to score.

My first game of the season and what a game to come back to. Where the referee got eight minutes added time he will only know. Special mention to Gudger who didn't miss a header or kick all afternoon and to cap it off with a wonderfully worked goal - what a player he is to play alongside Daly.
Great team performance and hats off to Storer for not losing his head completely when Pyke took him out off the ball, not quite sure what went on but he wasn't happy.
That must go down as our best result since we've been a national league club.

Well hello from back in Sunny Wrexham
Firstly let Me Congratulate you on a thouroughly deserved Victory. We were quite Frankly Abysmal. However reading some of the comments on this thread I feel I have to defend our Team.
1. Us a Dirty team your having a laugh I have never seen so many niggly off the ball incidents by your lot there were elbows sneaky kicks and more Shirt pulling than I have ever seen
2. If there was an Oscar for diving your Number 3 would be writing his acceptance speech now.
3. The tackle by your Midfielder on our forward right in front of us was a potential leg breaker and the Clown of a referee didnt even book him
4. The Only thing that the tinpot Official got right in the whole afternoon was the injury time. Oh and that wasnt for any injuries it was for the worst display of time wasting I have ever seen.
Again I will finish off by saying You deserved to win you showed more heart more spirit and more endeavour than we did. Good Luck for the rest of the Season

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
