Gabby Agbonlahor?
I see that Gabby Agbonlahor is currently out of contract and is a free agent. His Aston Villa contract expired at the end of the 2017-2018 season, and was not renewed.
Worthy of consideration, as long as he is fit?
Or has he retired?

No thanks. Not for me. Being a bcfc fan i dont want him anywhere near solihull moors regardless of his ability. If that ever did happen then i would refuse to watch. Wouldnt lose the support for the club but wouldn't watch. H8 the man

Re: Gabby Agbonlahor?
I'm with you there 100%. The only good words I can say about him are that he stole a living off aston villa for several years on a gravy train contract.

Re: Gabby Agbonlahor?
I'm always astonished and disappointed that anyone would profess hatred for someone merely on the basis of which football team they had played for. It is illogical to have feelings of this ilk and leads to the worst kind of football tribalism. I can't remember any Villa supporters expressing similar views against ex-Blues players that have come to us. By all means support your team but if the manager feels that someone can do a good job for the team, so be it, irrespective of former history. Over the years there have been many Villa players who have crossed the road to play for Blues without this kind of prejudice and I would hope the same would apply to any player that comes to us, be it from Villa, Blues, Coventry, Leamington, Worcester, Redditch, etc., etc., as many have over the years.

Re: Gabby Agbonlahor?
Of course this is true Ojivex2. However, they are discussing tribalism on The BIG Question on TV right now, and Gabi has expressed himself in the most tribalistic terms when Villa play Blues. He is not in this a good example like say, Ron Wylie, Trevor Hockey, John Sleunehok (spelling ?) who crossed over in the past, and this is the problem nowadays, it is more tribal. He is obnoxious and divisive. No thanks.
Anyway this is just not going to happen as he just isn't good enough for Moors.

Re: Gabby Agbonlahor?
I think considering all that the management and board have said about only signing players with the right mentality for the club, Gabby Agbonlahor automatically counts himself out.

There is so much happening in the world that is more worthy of your ire and antipathy than some lazy sod who rinsed Villa's payroll for a few years and only turned up for derby games.
