Kelly really impressed me, I thought his movement and reading of the game was outstanding. I'm happy so far, not too concerned about the left back and left midfield, after all we've got Ozzy for left midfield and although today's number three didn't pull up any trees, I thought overall he had a reasonable game and could be a decent fit if and when he get's the nod and gets to know the squad.

Today's number 3 didn't do anything to impress me. Seemed no better than Jordan Cranston and not a patch on Harry Boyes, especially in running at defenders when in the attack.
Josh Kelly looked lively given his very recent arrival. Kelly, Dallas, and Reid should be a handful for most defences, given their pace and supply from a midfield containing Sbarra, Osborne and Barnett. It was a joy to watch Barney when he came on, a really first rate winger. Great first touch, mesmerising footwork and quality delivery. He's a diamond in this league.

Think we should remember that Boyes didnt look that good when he first arrived, but look what a player he became as the season progressed.
With his experience the manager has been excellent at bringing in the right players.
Cant think of many duds since he arrived.
Struggling to think of any in fact.

Speaking of poor left backs brought Mings to mind did it?
Trialist at 3 seemed too happy to play the ball backward and did not look for a way to beat the man ahead of him. Yes Ok maybe that can be improved but I think Boyes will be a big miss from the squad.

I think we need to get over Harry Boyes, it's unlikely we'll find a left back of his ilk unless it's another loan player from a league club. We need to concentrate on whoever we sign and give all the newcomers time to settle in.
