Re: New signing

As much as a I like Dallo, if a fee of £120k was offered for a player out of contract in four months time (although I would hope that we have the option of another year), I would serious consider it.

Totally agree. I'm not sure there is an option either. Not sure how accurate last year's Football Manager is when it comes down to the fine details of contracts, but I seem to remember from my Moors playthrough (won the league on goal difference from Notts with both clubs breaking the record points total) that we had an option last year on Sbarra but no remaining option on Dallas.

Wouldnt touch Hartlepool with a barge pole if i was Dallas.
If they get relegated they will have a real struggle next season and he could end up in National League north with them in two seasons time.
Great oportunity for him to forge a decent partnership with Beck and if and when he does move, go to a league 1 side rather than the dregs of league 2.

I agree with Boris, we've had marquee signings before and they didn't work out for various reasons, so I'd like to see if Beck beds in before considering any offer for Dallas, after all we need all the scorers we can muster at the moment if we're going to get back into the playoffs.

Will believe it when I see him holding up a Hartlepool scarf. They have a couple of days to rush a deal through and they're currently sitting third bottom of the Football League with Gillingham having two games in hand on them from a couple of points below. I'd imagine the finances and escape clauses will have to be spot on for Dallas to want to move there and risk being back in this division with a different club next season and perhaps in a more difficult position for bigger clubs to prise away.

Also closer to Scotland aswell.Only 2 hour drive from the north anyway.

Re: New signing

There are a fair few other decent strikers in our league, Morais and Effiong imediately spring to mind, and i couldnt see their clubs entertaining any mid season bids that might affect the prospects of their clubs season.
How long is Dallas contract with us.
Thought it was for this and next year.
Happy to be corrected.
