Manager Faulkner QUITS....
Paul Faulkner has left his role as manager of Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division club Welwyn Garden City with immediate effect following a meeting with chairman Gary Bevan.
It is believed the Herns Lane club received a letter from the league which detailed various charges relating to the Welwyn versus Hatfield Town derby game that took place some weeks ago.
Hatfield submitted an appeal following the game that the Citizens fielded players playing under false names.
The Welwyn committee highlighted the ongoing investigation along with the recent poor run of results with Faulkner, and it was decided that it was in the best interests of the club for there to be a parting of ways.
