Re: BLYTH SPARTANS
Nah, I don't fancy hell too much
It's really competative as well. Might think about it at some point though.

Yeah, that's the one.
He is primarily an AFC Wimbledon supporter who comes from the Midlands and sometimes watches us as well. To say he has a bit of a screw loose would be an under-statement. He was already in some sort of bad fettle towards Solihull because he apparently feels you are a franchise club. This is the bloke who at Kettering gave their keeper all sorts of stick for having previously played for MK Dons.
He gave me a bit of verbal just after kick off yesterday because I'd once mentioned MK Dons to him. Think that shows what kind of person he is.

Re: BLYTH SPARTANS
If we're a franchise club then most clubs that end in United must also be franchise clubs in his opinion.

Re: BLYTH SPARTANS
I saw the Hartlepool tranny
It was a good game actually, Kettering caught Hartlepool on the break a couple of times, scored once and defended decently. They weren't exactly rock solid but Hartlepool were poor up front.
Excellent support from the Kettering fans; it's a long way to travel but there were plenty in attendance and they kept the noise level up almost constantly from kick off to full time.
Hartlepool is a bit of a bleak place though, and for some reason they have a quoit club (!?) down the road from the ground. Aren't quoits those rubbery doughnut-shaped things that people buy for their dogs and children are made to use in infant school P.E. lessons?

Re: BLYTH SPARTANS
Its an old Fair ground game,Quoits the plural of Quoit is the name of the game.A Quoit is the plastic, metal or rubber ring thrown over pegs. The game was invented in Hartlepool because its got a Quoit & another Quoit in its name. Its a game suitable for managers who have lost the plot at football & especially for ones with a Ouoit in their first name.Just think if we had played Roy of the Rovers against Redditch, then again vs Kettering & again vs Hartlepool we would now be facing Leeds United at home in the FA Cup.

Re: BLYTH SPARTANS
Iv'e had QUOIT enough of this thread now.At least we have found a budding Barrister & Steve was right about one thing, the lack of quality on the pitch, the only real quality were the unused subs on our bench.( Oh change the record Keith.I am beginning to bore myself now. )
