Faulds to Leamington..

..or so NLD are reporting, wouldnt it be nice for our club to communicate this sort of thing.

If so well done Peter and best of luck, and if it is to get games, then so be it. You might just enjoy it.

Moors midfielder signs for Brakes
by Paul Edwards
News posted: 04-12-2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Paul Holleran has bolstered his squad ahead of the trip to Tiverton Town with the signing of midfielder Peter Faulds from Blue Square North side Solihull Moors. The relevant registration paperwork has been completed and sent to the Southern League and will hopefully be completed in the morning, enabling the new arrival will join up with the squad for the trip to the South West. Peter began his career in Kidderminster Harriers youth team and made several appearances for their reserve side. He joined Moor Green in the summer of 2002, and remained at the club when they merged with Solihull Borough. He also turned out for Stratford Town last season alongside his brother, Mark. Aged 27, Peter is a combative right-sided midfield player with an eye for goal, and was the Moors' top scorer in 2004/05. We would like to welcome him to the club

There is some better news with regards to the rest of the squad as we prepare for the long away trip. Marcus Jackson, Michael Tuohy and Adam Cooper are all available for selection after their respective suspensions, and Andy Gregory is also available. Liam Reynolds faces a late fitness test to confirm whether he will be able to take his place in the squad, while Stuart Herlihy is unavailable due to work commitments.

OK so, it this the only method of getting news to supporters.
I would have expected the Chairmans notes in the programme to have been even more glowing in tribute to a loyal player who has given service to MG and SM
clubs,.
But if we had lost and not drawn v Workington there would have been no match that week, so no programme notes, till the 19th V Alfreton.. so are we expected to wait three weeks for announcements on players leaving, particularly popular players that fans support and even sponsor?

This is not meant to be a negative response.

I would imagine that it is a double edged sword. If all the information is placed directly onto a forum or website - do we have one emoticon then would this affect the sales of matchday programmes ? ie it would never contain NEW upto date information.

For the record, Pete left Solihull on Thursday 3rd December and this was mentioned in the programme on Tuesday 8th December, so it wasn't really old news. Had the game on December 8th not been played, then I know the information will have been put on here way before December 19th.

The Leamington reporter gave Fauldsy MotM. Always something of a favourite player of mine so its good to know he is playing 90 minutes and doing well.
