Re: A young man we will remember. ...
It's sad that he died, but I don't really get why people who don't know the family have been mourning their loss so much across all social media. I'd feel a bit awkward if I tried to do the same.
His relationship with Jermain Defoe was cool. I think football really needed something to show that big Premier League stars can be (indeed are) human. For a little lad with such big problems to get the chance to spend time with someone he idolised, and to be loved in return by that person, is really heartwarming. In the mental, soul-destroying environment of professional sport in the twenty-first century (see Bernard Tomic's reaction to dropping out of Wimbledon), you don't see much of that human connection anymore.

Re: A young man we will remember. ...
Obviously it's a sad situation and I feel for the family.
But I don't see why "football", not players and other people in the game, as obviously players do a lot of charity work off their own backs, but football as a business has to attach itself to grief for no reason other than to make itself look good. See all the minutes silences for stuff that aren't football related whatsoever (Terrorist attacks, celebrity deaths) people can mourn them without being forced to at a football game.
100 children are diagnosed with the same condition as Bradley every year in the UK alone, their names won't be mentioned when they eventually succumb to their condition. The only reason why we knew about this case is because Football wanted us to.

Re: A young man we will remember. ...
If you don't care, fine, I do he was a football fan and wanted to do lots in a short time. Football helped him and allowed him to have his wish. I think it's touched alot of people. Ok don't express your grief but don't critisise others if they want and why bother to tell people you don't care I wouldn't bother to post

It's not that I don't care I just don't need to tell everybody that I do care to feel like I'm doing my bit.

Re: A young man we will remember. ...
A sad day for all concerned with football, this young boy epitomised happiness in the face of adversity and had formed a genuine bond with Jermaine Defoe, who has had his own adversities to deal with. If the publicity has raised awareness of the other ninety-nine sufferers diagnosed this year then it is worth a moment to reflect on his courage.

Re: A young man we will remember. ...
Very sad and my thoughts go to his family and friends and also to jermain defoe. What i will say tho is that a few national league clubs were tweeting their condolences towards brad. Would of been nice for moors to do the same as it just shows respect. Was extremely disappointed and angry that they never tho.

Re: A young man we will remember. ...
Tweeting or updating has never been a strong point for the Moors. If it is really necessary can we organise a supporter's tweet? But it is no more or less sad for the want of a tweet!
The communal grief element is the worrying thing for me. I will share in the celebration of a young life gone, as I did for my friend's wonderful and talented 19 year old daughter who died from bone cancer, and thought that the DIGNITY of the Humanist funeral was marvellous; I see how sad it is that Bradley has died so young.
But Princess Di's legacy of public grieving is starting to wear thin I feel.

Why be angry? Moors had no connection to the boy and are under no obligation to send a tweet about him.
