According to Chesters forum tonight Shep played for nothing and has now left Chester.
Marcus has big problems bet he wishes he never left.

Marcus earned his crack at a higher level and my opinion is that Grimsby's board didn't really give him the backing, or the contract, he deserved. Six month rolling contracts don't engender confidence and I bet their board wouldn't sign one!

I would disagree. Yes, the last 12 months have not gone the way that Marcus would have wanted, but it is not often that a manager of a Non-League team gets a crack at a League team.
