Moors 2-0 Bromley

One to file under: bizarre!

Moors started like an express train, and were well in charge for the first 15 minutes. It came as no surprise when they deservedly took the lead in that time.

Then I can only presume someone flipped a switch...

Bromley then pretty much bossed the remainder of the game. Thankfully, for all their domination, they looked shy in front of goal. And so it continued, with the crowd becoming increasingly unsettled, until 4 minutes into injury time a poor back-header from the defender left the keeper - who'd had a couple of dodgy moments, including conceding a free-kick for taking the ball out of the goal area (should that also have been a red card as well? Discuss) - was left stranded in no-mans-land, whilst an exquisit chip finally sealed the game.

Whats that thing about it being a funy old game...?!

It would be harsh to punish the goalie with a red card. He can't help being incompetent.

If the ref gives the free kick for the keeper hand balling it out of his area it has to be a red card surely? Or is there any leeway on this Statto or M00R5?

Great defensive performance, Bromley were decent but just couldn't breach our defence, onwards to Halifax now, be interesting to watch Hartlepool v Barrow tomorrow night.

Definitely not a red card . Correct decision given.
Agree with Vinny on this one a very enjoyable game with the right result on the night.
Good move by the Secretary to play the game tonight.

I probably need to revise this as I'm not 100% sure, but unless the goalie has denied a clear goalscoring opportunity, there's no need to send him off for handball. Right?

Huge result tonight. We need maybe 12 from a possible 24 points to guarantee safety now. Possibly less depending on what else happens around us. Getting something out of Halifax would be nice; avoiding defeat at Hartlepool is crucial.

Statto is a qualified referee and even he was screaming for a red card. I actually didnt see the incident. But to be fair to the referee he went and sought advice from the linesman. The game itself i thought it was a gritty and determined performance. Had to laugh tho when they bought roger johnson on who is a defender and stuck him upfront.
