That Braintree goal...
Obviously I'm only listening to the radio, so I haven't seen the incident.
First of all, naïve of our defence not to play to the whistle.
Secondly, as officials, you manage the game as a team. If it becomes clear to you as a referee that your colleague on the line has ballsed-up so badly as to cause one side to stop, surely at that point you use your initiative and stop the game. Blow the whistle and go and pretend to have a chat with your assistant about the flag for the non-foul, while you're in fact having a word with him about flagging like a tit, restart with a drop ball. Controversy avoided.

The linesman was flagging for a foul by
Reckord on there winger , the ref played an advantage,
which the Moors defenders stopped and watched
The ref is in his right to do this

Re: Solihull Moors v Braintree Town 16/03/2019 commentary
Scrappy game Kloppy conditions had a real bearing. Braintree defended well against the wind and a telegraphed attacking line. But Moors plugged away well as the better and more confident team.
Their goal was a bit of a throw back to Moors 2017, very odd and soft, but fair play to the team, they believed, and against a weak opponent, overcame conditions to secure a vital three points, hats off to George Carline today, came on and played very well.

Aha.
If that's the case he's correct. The way it was described on the radio was that it was ignored by the referee causing the confusion.

Re: Solihull Moors v Braintree Town 16/03/2019 commentary
Personally, I think we got a result against Braintree whilst performing below par.
Frankly, before Dales scored, I was getting a bad neck in the first half with the ball being more dangerous to the Police helicopter, that was buzzing around the ground, than the Braintree goal.
We did better in the second period. Though we did huff and puff our way to victory. I was watching the ball go just wide when their keeper clattered Adi for the penalty. So passing comment on whether it was or wasn't is difficult...but the lack of any real arm waving by the Braintree players sort of gave the impression it was. As for the penalty itself, I was a bit concerned that Adi was taking it, but he did slot it with confidence.
I also thought 'Terra' Hawkridge (one for the kids there) had and excellent game, considering he wasn't playing until a couple of minutes before kick-off.
Hopefully, a full week off will now reinvigorate the boys and we can push on.
I even bought a t-shirt from the club shop! Could be a good little earner for the club that...the shop that is, not me.
