Solihull Moors All Time XI
Fellow Moors fans, following on tonight’s announcement I, like you, will have an abundance of time on my hands over the next 3 weeks so I thought why not get a good old debate going, and what better way to start than naming our consensus All Time Moors XI.
Each day I will name a position and ask people for nominations and their reasons why, at the end of two weeks I will then set up a vote to see who makes the grade.
Today’s position - Goalkeeper
I’ll start off the nominations with our current number one, Ryan Boot, 100 appearances with 42 clean sheets, good keeper, nice bloke and got us out of a hole many a time.
Over to youse.....

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Other goalkeepers to consider:
Nathan Baxter
Played a key role in us surviving our first season in Conference Premier
Dan Crane
Signed partway through our first ever season and played a huge role in avoiding relegation that season. Played over 100 games
Danny Lewis
Number one keeper at the start of the season until a bad knee injury. Came back and was the penalty shoot out hero against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup
Max O'Leary
Star keeper in The Great Escape of 2017/18 under Mark Yates
Ben Siegrist
Stepped into the breach following the injury to Danny Lewis in 2015
Jas Singh
Signed by Bob Faulkner in 2010 and was number one goalkeeper for four years before going up a division when signing for Kidderminster (yes, they used to be in a higher division than us)
Nathan Vaughan
Signed as competition for Danny Lewis in 2016. Best remembered for scoring a goal away at Torquay United
Looking at that list, we have been blessed by some top class keepers, but for me I would go for Jas Singh as having the biggest impact with Solihull Moors. Brought a reassuring calmness to the Moors defence and was immense in the long unbeaten league run we had from November 2010 until March 2011.

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
I think the Moors have always been fortunate with goalkeepers.
Obviously by no means the best keeper we've had but I was a huge Danny Crane fanboy back in the day.
In terms of all time best, it's between Siegrist, Boot and O'Leary for me, with Boot just edging it.

Jas Singh as he was there so long and was so reliable. He was my first thought but I have to say Boot is excellent.

I knew somebody would mention Matt Ghent😂😂
I seem to remember Adam Rachel coming on for the last game of one season and playing upfront as we had no subs, Hyde at home?

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Siegrist, O'Leary or Boot? I'll plump for Siegrist, positioning, agility and shot stopping were superb, marshaling was excellent, as was his distribution. I'll never understand why an EFL team didn't pick him up when he finished at Villa.
