Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Theo Streete and Gudger on ability.
Daly on club service.

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Theo Street, yes on ability, but I am also going Liam Daly because of him being a Moors icon and leader.
I always would want to pick a present team member and it would have been Alex Gudger.

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
No mention of the current centre half goal machine Callum Howe? I'd put him level with Gudger in terms of ability, having not been convinced by him when he first arrived.
Definitely Daly for his leadership and service to the club, although docked a few points for the number of times he threw his toys out of the pram.
Another name that springs to mind, purely for the sake of completeness - Joel Kettle.

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Hmmmm…had to think hard about this one.
If I was playing a 4-4-2 then I would need a pair of out and out stoppers at the back, Daly and Gudger meet that criteria. If, on the other hand, I was to lean toward a 3-5-2 then I would need a stopper and two ball players, in that case, Daly, Streete and Dean fit the bill.
I will plump for Liam Daly and Alex Gudger.

Mr Griffiths, I am an advocate for total football, as you will attest to during our time at FC Bellies.

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Liam Daly & Gaz Dean for me. I believe Dean only left because he had as decent job and didn't want the extra travel that would come with playing in the national league.
For me it was the cemtre half trio of Dean, Daly and Streete that won us the league in 2016.
Gudger also closely behind.

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Theo Streete would be the first name on my team sheet. Was very good for us in his first spell (2007 - 2011) and was brilliant in second spell (2015 - 2016).
First player to start 100 games for Solihull Moors.
His partner at the back, none other than Liam Daly. When Liam first joined us I thought he had the ability to make the Football League, however when he came back in 2014 I thought his standard had dropped (probably from playing for the likes of Halesowen, Barwell and Leamington). I will be honest in that after we got promoted, I did not think he could do it at National League level, but for three seasons he proved me wrong. Probably the best signing Liam McDonald did in getting him back from Kidderminster.

Re: Solihull Moors All Time XI
Griff - I think you have got that list of centre halves pretty much spot on.
Notable mentions however to Stuart Pierpoint, Danny Spencer, Guy Sanders and Karl Broadhurst.
