Cancel it all.

Premier league efl, our league etc

It's getting a lot lot worse. 87 deaths were recorded today and 1400 odd new cases. I cant see no football being played until at least September

No way should they be cancelling the season IMO.

If I were in charge of Barrow I would be preparing a legal case should this situation arises.

Sorry, I disagree about cancelling it all. The season should be allowed to finish, however, there should be no rush to decide when this should get restarted. Let's get everyone well again and then we can work out the calender.

I wonder if when football is allowed to continue that clubs are allowed to have a mini "preseason"?

A couple of local friendly games to get the playing staff back up to match fitness.

I want it too finish aswell but I just cant see it happening. This virus is a continuous circle. My fear is that it's going to be around for a long long time. As I said September at the earliest we will start seeing football being played again.

Their has surely got to be a cut off point for when a season can finish.

I was listening to gary neville the other day and he was saying that teams may have to play every day

Russia has a 146 million population and only 253 people infected.

Very strict quarantine zones.

They also shut the border with China, very quickly.

Boris says this virus can be ' turned ' around within 12 weeks.

To be fair , there was alot less traffic on the UK roads today and I never saw more than 2 people in a close group...

Alot of disciplined ' people distancing ' , in shopping queues too, with all the petrol stations now providing gloves / paper towels.

Long may this UK discipline , to control and eradicate the virus, continue.

NB
Did see lots of construction workers today , but I think they have now been told , they are NOT essential workers , just like Sports Direct who did a u turn and eventually closed
today.

Trust the figures coming out of Russia and China do you?

*Dons tinfoil hat*

Bold of you to presume they won't adjust the figures to make themselves look like they can handle things.

The only figures I'd go anywhere near for an accurate comparison to us are western European ones.

The ones coming out of the States are sketchy and jumpy when charted on a timeline and they have the resurgent DOW to protect, and obviously there people there are swimming in Freedom®™ and won't have no guvmint tell them to isolate.

Australia have a madman in charge, South Korea are a bit too secretive to believe, the Japanese don't seem to be taking it seriously to save the Olympics (now thankfully moved), Putin is too busy shooting too many topless horseback calandars to pay attention, and Hong Kong is a Chinese patsy.

And there's no chance Italy has more deaths than China. Even with a stringent lock down there's no chance that it didn't spread like wildfire through Wuhan, a city more populous than London in a third of the land area, before the government finally took notice.

Also worth taking into account that numbers of confirmed cases rely heavily on numbers of tests carried out.

Zimbabwe may report zero cases, but what's Zimbabwe's testing capability? Likewise, the UK reports up to 7k cases -- that's 7k positive tests. What's the true number of people asymptomatic or self-isolating, who can't get tested? 70,000 true cases? 700,000?

Sunshine 1, you've just said you've been out and about, looking at garage forecourts, shopping queues etc. How ? Why ?

Do the police need to arrest you.

You even believe what the Russians say .

If anyone needed proof of the rubbish you spout, "UK discipline". What tosh, police have already been busy.

By the way Burma have just announced their first case, someone returning from England!
