99% sure it was Droylsden at home when that players mom had a go at Statto for being nasty to him😆😆
Same game Paul Phillips got sent off
I will be honest mate, I have lost count how many goalkeepers mums I have upset over the years
I know I did upset Paul Phillips in a number of occasions and on the game when he got sent off, the one who replaced him in goal threatened to hit me. Also, had some run ins with Nat Kerr at Droylsden. Remember the home game with Droylsden where a home steward said he would walk me to my car for my own safety. Told him he would have to wait an hour as I was going in the bar 😀
Agree with Tim that the 5-0 win at Droylsden was the best Moors performance I ever saw.
🤣🤣🤣

That’s the game😂😂
Phillips got sent off and the full back went in goal, his mom and girlfriend then stood on the side to support him and told you off for being, and I quote, “nasty to him”.
He then threatened to hit you after our 4th or 5th😂😂
Droylsden will always have a place in my heart for that game and for Dave Pace baiting, marvellous!!!

I very much enjoyed that game at Droylsden for a number of reasons; number one being that it was my birthday.
I’d only just decided to attend the match on the way home from a couple of days up in Durham seeing M00R5 so got off the train in Leeds and changed for Manchester to get to the match. Gurd kindly provided a lift home with Roj in the back and listening to Smashing Pumpkins and Blur all the way down the M6.
We'd been to Blyth Spartans away on the Saturday. Nice weekend in Durham to go with it.
I believe we had one planned the following season but the game got snowed off. I think Gurd had booked the Travelodge at the Gilesgate roundabout. As it was, he and Statto gave me a lift to the rearranged Tuesday game which was also nearly snowed off. They ended up getting home at 4am or something due to the snow on the A1.
