New Season
I cant believe it 24 hours before the new season starts and no one has anything to say!.
Do you think we will do better than last season?. More importantly will we play better football than last season ( surely it can't get any worse). Personally from what I have seen we look a better footballing side. The loss of Joe Clarke should be offset by the return of Tim Gould. So here's hoping for good times and good games ahead.

I hope we play better football than last year but it won't be tricky to do so, and on the strength of what I have seen we should be more entertaining. On the strength of what I saw in two home friendlies, and ignoring Coleshill) I returned as a season ticket holder. Will I rue that: some days, but I think overall this could be a good year with a team that will be harder to beat. I am also looking forward to our trip to Worcester again, and some new grounds and ones I have missed before.
Glass half full here for sure.

I don't think I can really add anything to that. This must be the most optimistic start to a season yet, at least for me anyway.

DDs1....I am not going to sit on the fence.Very optimistic this season,football will be great under MMs coaching & Bobs other great signings will ensure a top ten finish.
I prefer Tim Gould to Joe Clarke if its true he is coming back.It will be exciting if we play wide men Gradison & Beswick and front men Cunnington & Dempster together, we have good cover for those positions with West & Lea ,should score a few goals.
We have an abundance of talent in central midfield & defence and at last a goalkeeper who is not glued to the line & deals with the ball in the six yard area.Hope I am not being to over confident, only time will tell.

I agree with all of the above, I also return as a season ticket holder (after a season not being one), I'd even go as far as to say my glass is five eighths full - there's optimism for you!

We are top the league, we are top the league.
Excellent start. When we played football and passed it around Blyth had no answer. They huffed and fuffed hardly put in much in the way of shots but Singh looked in perfect control anyway.

Very enjoyable game , with two sides that wanted to play football , two brilliant strikes from West & only a handful of aimless misplaced long balls from both teams.
I thought Price had an excellant game & the defence kept their shape well, when under pressure from some very good Blyth football in the last 20 minutes.
To take a quote from that new OAP RoJ ..... we don't normally get 2 goals & 3 points till September.

must admit I am very impressed, but sorry Roj we're not top, Greg Mills and Telford are.
Signed on loan last minute to replace broken leg victim Sean Evans, was outstanding, scooped all MoM awards.
They are still awaiting International clearence for two players and with Liam Murray (and Phil Trainor) in there look to have a solid squad.
Have heard Droylesdon have done a Fleetwood and thrown alot of ££$ at it but think we can maybe be fighting it out at the other end of the table.
Joe Clarke was an unused sub for Darlo yesterday, and on a sour note (soz) shouldnt we have done like many clubs and had a minutes silence for a top rated Non League player Adam Stansfield, who sadly finally succcumbed to his cancer this week.

It's a shame that Adam Stansfield has died so young but I don't see the point in holding a silence if he had no connection to either club.
