Re: 2021-2022 Season Tickets!

Two years ago I paid £220 for my season ticket. This season it is £175 so I am happy 😀

When u compare to other clubs then it is great value.

Last year was always going to be a gamble with COVID around, but ended up being a £100 donation. Much as I love the Moors that is a lot of money on a limited income for not a lot of reward. Sure all those who invested last season feel similarly.

Hopefully COVID will naff off and we can get an un-interrupted season.

To be fair I don’t think less than a fiver a game is too excessive, however, I can understand that some won’t have the £105 as a lump sum.

Just emailed Jo for my code🙌🙌

The main reason me and my mates starting going to the Moors in 2014 was because the season tickets were £20 so it was a no brainier to get one and we all got “hooked” to the Moors. I just don’t think we would have all started coming if the season tickets were £125. I just find it strange that the club are clearly doing a lot to try to appeal to younger fans by getting Mark goldbridge to do stuff for us on twitter and then they are offering a very unattractive price.

I’m assuming the club will be giving out free season tickets to all of the youth and junior sides anyway so it may not end up being an issue.

I didn't mind making my donation, I got to see all the games, bar two, at home with a glass of wine at the ready. I missed only the one game early on through technical problems and one that was being televised. I also watched all the away games so I ended up lining the coffers of our competitors! When I look at the prices charged by some of our teams I would certainly think at least twice before shelling out. My attitude is that I'll attend all or miss only one or two of our home games, so it makes economic sense for me to buy a season ticket.

The club haven’t done this for at least two seasons and I am not aware of any change to this plan.

I think that's a real shame. I don't really understand how they think they are going to get younger fans to start going to the Moors unless their parents are supporters already.

With over 90 teams representing the Moors that is an awful lot of season tickets to give away, however I would like to see some sort of offer to the players and their parents for all the junior teams. Don’t think that everyone could automatically give all these players a free Season Ticket as potentially it would stop us selling 1000 tickets for every match due to the capacity of the ground.

Agree with this. Each issued season ticket counts as allocation against the stadium capacity so giving dozens of them away for free to people who might never end up using them won't contribute towards getting people into the ground on match days. Subsidising them for members of the Y&J sides, but still requiring a reasonable financial contribution from the recipient should help to ensure they are only taken up by people who intend to use them and avoid season tickets gathering dust in sideboards (do people still have sideboards? do people still have physical season tickets?)
