Re: Hereford v Solihull Moors 16/10/2021 commentary

.... positives .... another clean sheet .... Howe, Gudger and Maycock ....in the draw for the first round .... and we've found our new Adi Yussuf last minute poke in opportunist match winner .... negatives .... playing 90 mins with 10 .... midfield poor passing .... and dull, dull, dull .... seemed like the half time changes were because we'd been too ambitious and needed to be a bit more defensive .... while the tactics are see if we can be so boring that the opposition fall asleep and we scramble a late winner .... ball 53 in the draw .... reckon that's in line with the number of different formations we've played this season ....

I am a big fan of Newton and chuffed that he has managed to get two goals in the last two games. He just harasses defenders all day long causing them to rush decisions and make mistakes.

However, Adam Rooney is not the same sort of striker. He may have been when he was younger but he is not now. I am not a fan of Rooney and haven’t been since he signed but I think it is unfair to signal him out when he is giving zero service from the midfield.

Completely agree about Newton, however Rooney has been a big disappointment.

I couldn't work out what happened at half time.
We weren't under pressure and no need to go defensive and bring on Barnett as wing back and move Tyrone to a 3 centre half system.
It gave them an advantage and we were under pressure ...
Hope Ossy was a precaution, and Ball going I'm just lost...
Thank goodness for Newton, just like KL I was calling for him to come on, and he delivered again but he deserves better than being used as a super sub.
I understand using the squad and pleased Sbarra was rested, but playing Rooney and Hudlin together is not a match made in heaven..
Still it's just important as has been said, to be in the next round.
It's the ambition now of reaching the third round, !!!
Maybe not this year tho after that draw..........

I've watched some awful games of football following this club, and that was one of them.
