It’s interesting moors haven’t been interested in signing anyone.It’s definitely important we sign a striker as a replacement for Rooney and Newton and possibly Huddersfield if he should move.Need a left back replacement for boyes

.... bear in mind a lot of players .... and I suspect agents .... will be holidaying ... plus agreed keep things nice and quiet ... remember we are the tinpot club with no history or fans ....
..... on the Chesterfield plyaers similarly Miller looked ok - still young (24) and left sided .... please please please not Maguire .... quite the worst player I've seen for a while .... even makes some of our Shan signings .... Cameron (N), Gleeson and Howkins .... not to mention his brother .... look classy ....

I imagine we've been caught on the back foot a little by the playoffs extending our season by 2 weeks. I just hope we haven't lost ground to others on some of our key targets.
Its right that we dont announce anything until its officially signed, but my minimum requirement would be:
Back up GK (as we've released our 2 young back ups)
Left Back - Priority as we need one with Cranno and Boyes both going.
2 Strikers - as we are really light up top with potentially only Dallas left if Hudlin doesnt resign.
Defensive Mid - I dont think Storer is good enough to be any more than a squad player these days.

Agree 100% with this. I am not concerned who the club are interested in, just want to know who we have signed. The club are not going to go public with any interest they have in players as don’t wish to make public their potential availability and then start a bidding war.

I can’t imagine we’d have released Cranston without a strong replacement (or two) for him and Boyes lined up.
A pacey striker should be our #1 target along with a holding midfielder.

I agree with you 100% .I’m saying it would be interesting who we sign for next season will it be someone young talent or experience or will it be ardleys past and present

Akinfenwa is a free agent. He's retired but could he be tempted out of it. Not sure he'd want to play for a man that once released him again though

Liam Daly played for Tim Flowers again. Lots of stories of players who go back to managers who previously let them go.
However, as you say, Akinfenwa has retired so won’t be signing for us.
