Think as orrible as it all is guess this is the commercial business world where you try and make the most money from your assets.
Far cry from the friendly little club that we once were, but guess it is the direction we are now moving in.
If it translates to success on the pitch, guess we will have to live with it.

Or some people reach a point at which they decide it isn't for them anymore and stop turning up on the regular. I know of a few like this.

I suppose they can't please everyone. Ridiculous having blues and villa kicking off on TV at the same time. I know most pubs in solihull are showing both. Recipe for trouble if you ask me.

I’ve just calculated £40 divided by 23 home games.Answer is ur averaging to pay £1.73 every game at home.

Which is great if you want to drink tea and coffee and not socialise at the clubhouse with anyone who doesn't have a season ticket -- say, friends or family who only come along occasionally due to other commitments, or those who you see regularly but don't have a season ticket for various reasons.

I've just read in Eales' notes that the scheme is a response to discussions with fans/fan groups as to how the club can reward loyal supporters. I've been amongst those in the past at big games with lots of incomers, who has tongue-in-cheek said there should be bar priority for regulars, but practically speaking it's not a particularly good idea. It needlessly segregates home supporters in the facilities into haves and have-nots and it is only really a reward for having a season ticket and opting in by paying the fee. There are many reasons why long-standing, endlessly loyal supporters might not be season ticket holders. Many people have work commitments or live a distance away and can only come occasionally. Before this season, I last had a full season ticket in the heady days of 2016/17. I had a half season ticket last season as a Christmas present. It's only down to the fact that I bought one hoping we'd go up that I'm eligible this season. It's not a reward to those people who make a real effort to make it to games but can't justify getting a season ticket if their friends or acquaintances can't meet them in one of the bars when they are able to make the effort,be that due to distance, work, or other commitments (or just not being able to afford the single outlay on a season ticket; times are tough).

There are a lot of other ways that a reward like this could have been implemented. An effective private members' room is in my view the worst way to have arranged things and gives off a very poor image.

My sentiments exactly MOOR5, if I as a season ticket hder had chosen to take up this corporate offer I would likely think twice about encouraging mates to join me on an occasional basis at a match plus I would miss out on seeing other Moors regulars pre match. Daryll talks about growing the fan base, I have over the past few years encouraged at least 4 people to buy season tickets after being badgered by me to come along to a game, that's how you grow the fanbase not by creating exclusive areas.

So I spoke to one of the decision makers at the club today and asked why they put the Aston Villa game on instead of the Birmingham City game on the screen. The reason was very simple in that BT feed the club details of the games that are on show and obviously this included todays game. No details of the Sky games are given to the club and to be fair, nobody checked to see what was on show. By the time the penny dropped that Birmingham City were on TV at the same time, it was too late to do a U-Turn as the decision to show the Villa game had already been made. I have offered my services to let the club know how the TV guide works emoticon

Tbf watching the 2nd half of that game yesterday was more enjoyable than watching the first half of the blues game.

Good to see var working properly yesterday again. ( not)

All the club need is any regular supporter to sit it on some of these meetings and these ridiculous ideas wouldn't actually be put into place. The board must know that decisions being made will be unpopular but I can only assume they don't care. Moors are not a big enough club to be able to alienate our core support. Eales has improved the team but so many other things have gone backwards. I just feel like his objective is to squeeze as much money out of the supporters as possible.

I hope some of these points are raised at the fans forum in a few weeks.
